Bead Crazy
I went a little bead crazy last week and bought so many new sparkly things.  Here are two Summer Inspired pieces.

Marilyn by the pool

I took this while waiting for my girlfriend to meet me for an al fresco dinner at sunset last night.  After several days in a row of 95-degrees, this day was amazing - mid 80's and silly breezy.  All I needed was the sound and smell of the ocean and I would've been in paradise.

Writer's Block:  What do you love about where you live:

Given that I LOVE the sunshine and bright blue skies and warmth, Arizona is the perfect place for me.  We have over 300 days of sunshine each year, minimal rain and the brightest, bluest sky.  Admittedly, it gets scorching hot in the summer and summer does last five months, but it's a small price to pay for the beauty of the desert.  And besides, everything is air conditioned and the pool is a great place to refresh yourself when it's too hot.

Look what came in the mail today...

My Mom sent this to "make me smile"... it actually made me giggle.  It sings (yes, the mouth even moves) "That's What Friends are For".

Some necklaces I made recently.  This is a brand new hobby for me.  I don't have the fancy photo set up for jewelry, so I just took these out in the afternoon sun.

when you don't have much to do, you can't get anything accomplished?  I have the week off with very few obligations and really wanted to get some house "things" done.  It's Tuesday night and I haven't accomplished much of anything.

Fresh and Easy

Hello World

What a great find... Fresh and Easy neighborhood market.  They're popping up all over the southwest and I visited the one near me recently on a recommendation from three different friends.  It's pretty awesome.  They're a small store with emphasis on prepackaged meals and the top 100 food items. It's part Trader Joe's, part Quick Mart, and part ... Sunfare.  I love it.

The prices are phenomenal.  I don't know if they will raise their prices once they're established.  If you have one nearby... you should check it out.

Greetings.

What an exciting place, this LJ.

I'm interested in so many of the communities, I thought it was about time I begin my own journal.  Now, of course, I have writers block.  Given that my friends would tell you they can't get me to "shut up", I'm amused by my current state.

Then, there's always tomorrow.
